We recently got an iPad for Trevor to be able to work on improving his fine motor skills in a fun and different way. It has been great for him! One of the best resources I’ve found for apps for needs with special needs (and just kids in general) is Smart Apps for Kids. They’re giving away a $100 iTunes card tonight, so it’s a great time to head on over to their website and check them out for yourself!
I can’t believe you’re 6 months old already. It seems like just yesterday I was pregnant with you. You are such an amazing little girl who is so full of personality! Your smile just lights up the room and you are a social butterfly. You aren’t happy if you can’t be in on all of the action. You also have become a sock monster! As soon as I put socks on your feet you take them off and start chewing on them. Right now your favorite toys are your socks and your feet, lol 🙂 Mommy loves you! I can’t wait to see what these next 6 months bring.
Things have been hard lately. I’ve written, and then deleted, several posts. Paige is teething and continues to have tummy troubles. Trevor has started stimming more and is also having some significant behavior issues. I just don’t know what switch was flipped, but he’s having a rough time. There have been tears all around these last couple of weeks.
But then there are good times. Great times. Rays of hope and light shining in their beautiful faces and I am reminded that this too shall pass. The teething, the stimming, it’s all cyclical.
And when I see those smiles all the tough moments fade away. Pure joy.
