This is a simple, yet engaging invitation to work on developing fine motor skills.
All you need is a small chalkboard (we use one from Handwriting Without Tears), a bit of water, and some cotton swabs.
You can draw whatever shapes you want on the chalkboard, and then let the child “draw” with the wet cotton swab to erase the marks. On my chalkboard I have drawn a cross, a circle, and a zig zag line.
